Artistx just told me was a Saatchi gallery artist, which I pooh-poohed and said he was hallucinating. But then he showed me – and he does have his work up on the Saatchi gallery site. Has the world gone mad? artistx, wanted by the police in seven different counties? It makes no sense. here am I carefully painting wonderful pics day after day, and artistx scrambles off a couple of sketches and bang, he’s picked up for fame and fortune and I have to languish in this dark dank cellar, with only a wireless internet connection and unlimited uncertainties. It’s a cruel cruel world.

What would be your specialist subject if you were in a pub quiz. I thought hard and realised the only thing I know lots – I mean lots – about wasn’t quantum electro-biology or Incan post modernity, but was breakfast cereals.
But no questions came up about them, so I couldn’t show off my brilliance.

For those of you following this story, with friends in Brazil, unfortunately the wreckage of the plane that disappeared has been found. It was flying to Brasilia from Manaus. They say the area is virtually inaccessible, so I don’t know how long we will have to wait for more details to emerge.

Alonso is on pole for the Chinese grand prix. Will Schumacher finish his career as world champion? or will Alonso keep hold of his crown? The season is far too long, but it’s getting exciting right at the end. Schumacher will be at his most ruthless – if you don’t normally watch Formula one I predict that this season run-in will be worth plonking yourself down on the sofa – or flying round the world – to see.

It’s been a great day for spam. Look at this one:
I am **** ****, Business Development Manager and I handle all Middle East
business matters with government and non governmental agencies.
I am initiating contact with you regarding an urgent contract invitation from
Iraq.
My benefactor at the new American controlled Iraq ministry has mandated me to
seek for various manufacturers/companies to participate in a multi million
dollars worth of supply contract .And he’s sent it to an artist, so they must need art. I wonder how many of the millions are ear-marked for sculptures? I’ll reply and see what he says. Watch this space!

2001 Monbazillac 13,5%
Golden colour, honey, syrupy, sweet aftertaste. Very long finish. Hay meadows if you want to be all constable about it. Noble rot gives it the characteristics . A lovely dessert wine.
