Should link colors be standard? We’ve always had our own here, but I think that for ease of useability all web sites should use the same:
blue link = new link
purple link = visited
There’s no need to enforce it, just that for the visitor’s ease of useability, if he sees a link it is good if he can immediately tell whether he has used it or not before.

OK, We have been assuming everyone has broadband and it’s been pointed out that they ain’t. So webpage optimisation is the oreder of the day. Have you done any? It’s about as fun as eating lard and just as messy. Guess who’s doing it? Guess who hasn’t quite been able to get here today? Boo Hoo, I’ll make sure there’s some left to do.
Set up a tomtom gps to get travel alerts via mobile internet . Amazing.
Biodiesel seems a sensible way forward to try and run the company transport – we would need a new van anyway, so we’re looking into biodiesel seriously. We have to find the answers to several questions, does the age of the engine matter? What mods do we have to apply and can we get a serious amount of miles from biodiesel, or would we need horrendous amounts to make it worthwhile. Will the govt still want tax?
We will keep a diary of our progress here to help other people who are interested. (Ps if you have any ideas, either generally or specifically in the UK, please comment)

I know it’s simple, but there’s something about this photo that is great. The angle of the grass, the house peeking over the lawn, the vibrant flipflops. But that book – I’ve never known what the hype is about – it is an extraordinary work of staggering genius, or whatever it is called by Eggers, and well, I don’t think it is! Anyone want to disagree, explain to me why it is then I’m willing to listen! Comment below please and change my mind.
