Albums - scientifically how many times can you listen to a CD before pleasure turns to pain?
Whilst listening to the Libertines (Decadent youth screaming in your lugholes and making ears at your heart), I thought I like this. But the past tells me it probably won’t be top ten in my heart for long. Which made me ponder -
Question:
How many times can you listen to an album before you start getting bored of it? Is it a normal distribution curve? And whatever the curve is it related to the complexity of the music, the je ne sais quoi of the album?

if x= number of listens and q = some quality in the music then y (pleasure) is
y=x*q
Has anyone worked this out?
Any suggestions, please help, it’s driving me crazy.
