The art world is one where self-motivation is a vital characteristic. No one is going to come round and say, paint that picture, unless you’re supposed to be doing a commission I guess. No one misses your stuff if you don’t do it. So how do you keep up your motivation?

MPs were know as honourable people, hence the name. I am afraid that there are enough dishonourable members to make the sobriquet ironic. They say that they are not breaking any rules as they ladle in their £20,000 pa housing expenses – which is true, because the lregulations are so lax they can still claim the cash even if they own the house. Or live so near parliament they don’t need a second house.
