5.5 million Brits currently live overseas - that’s getting on for 10% of the population. Is this just proof that Britain itself is too cold/wet/grimy/expensive to live in, or are we just an intrepid bunch who like a challenge and a bit of an adventure?

Channel 4 have launched the world’s first major on demand TV station. From today UK residents can download TV programmes and watch channel 4 in simulcast on their PCs.
