dot mobi - take the plunge?
How many people are going to take the plunge and buy a dot mobi domain name today? I think that ultimately there is little point in a new domain just for mobile devices - in a few years the speeds and screens we’ll be good enough to browse pretty much normal websites, I reckon. But until then there could be a slight benefit in having a mobi domain. tells people that you are optimised for mobiles.
That seems to be the best part of dot mobi, that you have to code in XHTML MP. Not sure I can see them taking down domains that don’t abide, but if they do then standards would be applied and that would be great.
